New briquetting press produces square briquettes.

WEIMA has developed a new TH 70 K briquetring press to produce square briquettes. In contrast to round briquettes, the squares can be stacked for easier handling, better packaging and increased marketing opportunities.

The new TH 70 K briquetting presses produce briquettes with a consistent external dimension of 70mm x 70mm and lengths of up to 100mm. The briquettes are produced by hydraulic pressure only, and without the use of a binding agent. The hydraulic drive of both the pre-compressor/filling cylinder and the main press cylinder is applied via a self-contained pump with a power rating of 7.5 kW or 15 kW. The large 300 liter hydraulic tank was designed in order to maintain a low oil temperature during continuous operation. Throughput will vary based on materials, but the average rate of the TH 70 K is about 200 kg/h.

The briquetting presses also are offered in an optional Duo version that can provide double the throughput. This leads to lower operating costs and, thereby, higher efficiency. Having a Duo version also gives you the security of having a second press in the event that the other unit is down.

The TH 70 K Duo gives you the ability to design a machine where one press creates a square briquette and the other press produces a round briquette. The square briquettes can be packaged in cardboard boxes while the round briquettes can be bagged in a carousel.
