New bond financing for long island site.


Farrell Fritz, PC announced that Peter Curry, a partner in its new Melville office, represented Michael Reilly Designs, Incorporated and its affiliate, Plant 7 Calverton, Inc., in a $7.1 million tax exempt bond financing with the Town of Riverhead Industrial Development Agency on Oct. 5. This transaction is the first tax-exempt bond
Tax-exempt bond
A bond usually issued by municipal, county, or state governments whose interest payments are not subject to federal and, in some cases, state and local income tax.
 financing to occur at the 472 acre former Grumman (Navy) site recently acquired by M-GBCLLC, a Jan Burman-controlled entity.

M-GBCLLC resold approximately 21 acres and a 193,000-SF industrial assembly building to Plant 7 Calverton. Michael Reilly Designs has occupied the building since last year to manufacture custom millwork, doors and window . It contracted to buy the facility when its former p ant in Bridgehampton became too small for its aspired growth in sales and employees.
