New York State Park celebrates centennial.


Watkins Glen State Park Watkins Glen State Park is located on the edge of the village of Watkins Glen, New York, south of Seneca Lake in Schuyler County. The main feature of the park is the hiking trail that climbs up through the gorge, passing over and under waterfalls. , home to Glen Gorge, celebrated its 100th anniversary as a state park with a gathering of state and local officials in June June: see month. .

The park has become a major attraction in the Finger Lakes Finger Lakes, group of 11 narrow glacial lakes in north to south valleys, W central N.Y.
