New York Life Names Lane B. Kent Vice President.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2002

New York Life Insurance Company announced today that Lane B. Kent has been appointed to vice president in the company's long-term care insurance division. Mr. Kent is in the organization's sales department, responsible for the direction and promotion of long-term care sales activity.

Mr. Kent joined New York Life last year as corporate vice president of sales in the long-term care division. Prior to working with New York Life, he was a first vice president in charge of health insurance products with Mutual of Omaha Brokerage since 1992.

He is Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC), a designation granted by the Corporation For Long-Term Care Certification, and a Health Insurance Associate (HIA). Mr. Kent earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and a Certificate of International Studies from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.

Originally from Wichita, Kans., he resides in Austin, Tex., and has two daughters with his wife, Melissa.
