New York Life Investment Management Increases Employee Skills Using Zoologic Courseware; New York Life Investment Management Successfully Meets Training Goal Using Zoologic's Custom Curriculum.

NEW YORK -- New York Life Investment Management LLC (NYLIM) uses Zoologic, Inc.'s online course curriculum to strengthen the investment knowledge of their Relationship Management group.

Zoologic worked with NYLIM to create a custom curriculum of online courses to provide core training on investment types and fundamental investment principles. Upon completion of the curriculum, the goal was to blend Zoologic online courses seamlessly with a series of classroom training days, which was part of an overall in-house Investment Literacy Program designed by NYLIM.

"Participants who completed our Investment Literacy Program have demonstrable skills that empower them to provide even better service to our clients. Our program with Zoologic was such a success that we have run it twice a year since its inception and still have trouble keeping up with the demand," says Norma Lapointe-Casper, Training & Development at NYLIM.

Before each class, associates were required to achieve 80% or better on the online test packaged with the Zoologic course. That way, the instructor was confident about the skill level of the participants in the class, and could spend the class time applying the principles taught in the course to practical situations faced at NYLIM.

This blended learning approach combining online learning and classroom training was delivered over a period of four months. At the end, participants were invited to prepare an Investment Presentation to give to the rest of the class, as if they were presenting it to a client. This provided an ideal opportunity for participants to demonstrate what they had learned from the program and to receive valuable feedback from the instructor and senior management.

NYLIM integrated Zoologic's custom curriculum into their Investment Literacy Program in 2004 and continue to use it with great success today.
