New York Life Insurance Co. has elected Theodore Mathas as vice chairman.

NEW YORK LIFE INSURANCE CO. has elected THEODORE MATHAS as vice chairman. The company also named Mathas chief operating officer. The appointment is effective July 1. Mathas is also a member of the company's executive management committee.

New York Life also named PHILLIP HILDEBRAND Hildebrand: see Gregory VII, Saint. vice chairman, effective July 1.
