New York City a no-show at annual TOBY awards.


The commercial real estate industry honored 15 North American commercial properties with The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award at the Building Owners and Managers Association This article or section needs sources or references that appear in reliable, third-party publications. To win the international award, the office buildings first won both local and regional competitions. None of the competing New York City New York City: see New York, city.

Among the winners were:

* Renovated Building category, 500 Jefferson, Houston Texas, managed and owned by Trizec Properties.

* Historical Building, LaSalle Bank Building, Chicago, Illiniois, management company Jones Lang LaSalle Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) is a major real estate and money management services firm headquartered in the Aon Center in Chicago, Illinois and the only company in its industry making it into Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S.  Americas (Illinois), and the owner is LaSalle Bank.

* Corporate Facility, American Express Desert Ridge, Phoenix, Arizona, management company is Trammell Crow Company, and the owner is American Express.

* Medical Office Building, 1101 Madison Tower, Seattle, Washington. Management company is Trammell Crow Company, owner is Health Care Property Investors, Inc.

* Government Building, United States Courthouse, Fort Myers, Florida Fort Myers is the county seatGR6 and commercial center of Lee County, Florida. The population was 48,208 at the 2000 census. According to the 2006 U.S. Census Bureau's Estimates, the city had a population of 60,531. , management company is the United States General Services Administration The General Services Administration (GSA) was established by section 101 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C.A. § 751). The GSA sets policy for and manages government property and records. , and the owner is the United States Government.

* Suburban Office Park Low-Rise category, the winner is Cumberland Metro Office Park, Chicago, Illinois, submitted by Marie T. Croce. The property management company is CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. NYSE: CBG is a multinational real estate corporation currently based in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.. On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2. , Inc. and the owner is State of Hawaii Employee Retirement System.
