As they have for more than a decade, members of the New York Association of Realty Managers will be visiting schools and centers for developmentally disabled and autistic children, bringing Christmas toys, treats and Santa Claus, announces Donna Klein, Executive Director of NYARM.

Scheduled locations this year include: New York Child Learning Institute, College Point, N.Y., Dec. 13; AHRC's Brooklyn Blue Feather, Dec. 13; and AHRC Francis of Paola, Brooklyn, N.Y., Dec. 19.

"So many of these children don't have the opportunity to visit Santa because they can't deal with the crowds and stimuli found in malls and department stores at Christmas," said Klein. "So we bring the festivities and our own Santa Claus to them in a safe, familiar environment -- their school."

Coordinating the events is Board Member Joan Saberito of Richter Properties, chairperson of the organization's Charity Committee. This year, Ms. Saberito arranged for a sizeable donation of toys from Toys R Us. And leading the team in full Santa Claus regalia will be NYARM's Associate Board Member Nelson Davis of JAD Bags. In addition to the school visits, NYARM sponsored a coat drive with NY Cares in November in which more than 100 coats and winter garments were donated.
