New Yahoo! Ads Take a Humorous Look at Life With (and Without) Yahoo!; Yahoo! Yodels About its New Home Page to Celebrate Life with Yahoo!


SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO YHOO Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ symbol) ) today announced the launch of an integrated marketing campaign that highlights the new Yahoo! home page and other recently launched services, including the new Yahoo! Mail A free, Web-based e-mail service from Yahoo!. It includes Yahoo! Messenger, which alerts you if you have mail and also provides voice chat. See Yahoo! Messenger.  beta and Yahoo! Answers Yahoo! Answers is a community-driven website launched by Yahoo! on December 13, 2005 that allows users to ask questions of other users and answer other users' questions. The site gives members the chance to earn points as a way to encourage participation and is based on Naver's . The multi-million dollar consumer campaign includes television, radio, cinema and online advertisements portraying an irreverent and playful look at life with and without the essential benefits of Yahoo!'s Internet services. New "Do You Yahoo!?" Advertising

The new ads examine life's pitfalls, from dealing with the school bully to weeds in the garden. Each spot exaggerates a bad scenario with a character who doesn't use Yahoo!, and then humorously plays out the same scenario again to show how good life is with Yahoo!. The fully integrated campaign can be seen online, including an insider look at outtakes and user-created commercials, by searching for "Do You Yahoo!?" on Yahoo!.

"Yahoo! is a fun brand, and the launch of its new home page gave us a great excuse to use some humor and a little irreverence as a means to promote it," said Chris Curry, creative director at Soho Square. "The Yahoo! team really encouraged us to push it as far as we could."

As appreciation for the millions of people who start their day with Yahoo!, all users who select Yahoo.com as their start page this Friday, September 22, 2006 will be eligible for a free coffee giveaway from Dunkin' Donuts. Beginning at midnight ET on Friday morning, visitors to http://www.yahoo.com will be able to access and print a coupon good for one free 16 oz. cup of Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee.
