New Version of Unitime Systems' Automated Timekeeping System Offers Multi-Level Approval Feature; Managers, Employees and Payroll Personnel Can Approve Hours Worked.

BOULDER, Colo. -- Unitime Systems has released Version 7.0 of its UNITIME Automated Timekeeping System(TM), which offers an innovative Multi-Level Approval feature that allows more than one person to approve employee hours worked. That, in turn, helps prevent errors in employee timecards and paychecks.

With Multi-Level Approval, several individuals within an organization -- employees, managers and payroll personnel -- can approve an employee's daily, pay period and labor-segment hours. That contrasts with only one approval level -- managers or payroll personnel, but not both -- common to other time and attendance systems. Besides preventing errors on employee timecards and paychecks, it also helps protect against employee claims of errors made by the company.

Multi-Level Approval is one of dozens of new capabilities in UNITIME Version 7.0, most of which resulted from suggestions from Unitime's 2,000-plus customers throughout North America.

Authorized personnel can approve the jobs on which an employee works throughout each day, thus ensuring accurate recording of employees' time in multiple departments or divisions. Multi-Level Approval also enables a supervisor to approve segments of time worked during the day by an employee from a different department, rather than leaving that task to the employee's departmental supervisor.

The organization can configure the highly flexible Multi-Level Approval feature to meet its specific requirements.
