Further building on a mission to be the global leader in mobile products and solutions, Toshiba's Computer Systems Group (CSG CSG - constructive solid geometry ) today ushers in a new era of wireless computing with the introduction of the Toshiba Pocket PC e740.

Allowing instant data access, the new PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) A handheld computer for managing contacts, appointments and tasks. It typically includes a name and address database, calendar, to-do list and note taker, which are the functions in a personal information manager (see PIM).  features integrated Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b) wireless connectivity, making the e740 the ideal companion for Toshiba's full line of wireless-ready consumer and corporate notebook PCs.

In addition to built-in wireless connectivity, e740 customers will enjoy the benefits of a bright 64K color display coupled with the powerful new Intel PXA250 processor with Intel XScale(TM) technology at 400MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc. .
