According to EPA, this software, entitled Toxics Release Inventory The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) is a publicly available database from the EPA that contains information on toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities reported annually by certain covered industry groups as well as federal facilities. Made Easy or "TRI-ME," will be an interactive, user-friendly program that will walk facilities through the entire Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 is a United States federal law locate at Title 42, Chapter 116 of the U.S. Code, concerned with emergency response preparedness. EPA plans to have Version 1 of the TRI-ME software available to foundries for use in completing forms due on July 1 for the 1999 reporting year. Version 1 contains industry-specific guidance for three industry sectors--chemical distributors, bulk stations and terminals, and foundries. |
