 to be introduced by BASF AG of Germany at the K 2004 show in Dusseldorf, Germany, next month. Oppanol IBS is a styrene-isobutene TPE for adhesives, sealants, films, and consumer goods. It is said to provide a barrier to moisture and other gases, suiting it to sealants used in double glazing. Oppanol IBS reportedly also blends well with other polymers.
