New Small Machines for Precision Parts.Nissei America Inc., Anaheim, Calif., has introduced two compact, hydraulic-clamp machines for molding electronic and other precision parts. The new models in the PN Series (improved versions of Nissei's long-selling PS Series) are PN40 (45 tons) and PN60 (70 tons). They are said to provide improved temperature control through a new longer screw screw, simple machine consisting essentially of a solid cylinder, usually of metal, around which an inclined plane winds spirally, either clockwise or counterclockwise. and a new barrel with revised thermocouple positions and new band heaters for more stable control. The new models also boast higher injection pressures and speeds, quicker screw removal, and a new check valve (Mech.) a valve in the feed pipe of a boiler, or other conduit, to prevent the return of the feed water or other fluid. - Knight.
