New York City City (pop., 2000: 8,008,278), southeastern New York, at the mouth of the Hudson River. The largest city in the U.S. , and its first acquisition--the historic Delano Village residential community in Harlem. Vantage will pursue investments in multi-family and office properties in the New York tri-state area There are a number of places in the United States known as tri-state areas where three states or holdings meet at one point (a tripoint), or in proximity to each other. The two most well-known are for the New York and Chicago metropolitan areas. where it can add value through market repositioning and strong property management. The firm also will pursue development projects. Mr. Rubler, Vantage's President, launched the firm after serving as COO of The Olnick Organization, Inc., overseeing all aspects of that company's development, redevelopment, management and financing of residential, office and hotel properties, mostly in the New York metropolitan area New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island is the most populous metropolitan area in the United States and the third most populous in the world, after Tokyo and Mexico City. . "This is a great time to be a property investor in the New York region--one of the strongest markets in the nation--and the right time for me to launch my own firm," said Rubler. "I have had a tremendous experience working with The Olnick Organization and am deeply indebted to the Olnick family and all of the other top professionals within that company. I plan to apply all of the knowledge and experience I gained there in making Vantage a success." The Delano Village acquisition was announced in a joint statement with Apollo Real Estate Advisors. (See report on Page 2.) Completion of the Delano Village acquisition is expected before the end of the First Quarter of 2006.
