The 1. , a 1.2 million square-foot family entertainment, retail and mixed-use development in downtown New Rochelle, has named Robert K. Futterman & Associates (RKF RKF Rapid Knowledge Formation ) of New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of as the exclusive commercial real estate broker for the complex. The RKF marketing and leasing team will consist of Robert K. Futterman, president, and managing directors Jeff Lagowitz and Lou Novick. "New Roc City is one of the most distinctive new retail centers being built in the Northeast, and we are very pleased to have been chosen as the exclusive leasing agent," Lagowitz said. "Our goal is to communicate the numerous strategic advantages of the Center to both the retail and brokerage industries, and to position New Roc as a truly sensational destination for national and regional tenants." Castaldo said that negotiations are currently underway with several additional major retailers interested in a New Roc City location. "We are looking for retailers that will complement the family entertainment theme of this project," he said. "New Roc City is not a typical retail mall. Now that we've opened and the retailers can see physically what the project is about, the level of interest among prospective tenants has sharply increased." Earlier this month, Modell's Sporting Goods, the nation's largest and oldest family-owned sporting goods chain, signed a long-term lease for an 18,000 square-foot retail facility at New Roc City. A key lease, it represented a vote of confidence by a major retailer not only in New Roc City, but in all of downtown New Rochelle. Currently, 71,000 square feet of space is available at New Roc City. Located off Exit 16 of the New England Thruway The New England Thruway is a portion of the U.S. Interstate highway system and of the New York State Thruway, within and operated by the state of New York, and linking New York City with New England, specifically with southwestern Connecticut. This 15.3-mile (24. (I-95), New Roc City is built on the former Macy's and New Rochelle Mall sites. Unlike an enclosed mall, New Roc City is designed to encourage pedestrian traffic along tree-lined streets and promenades.
