New Paxton Publisher.
Marvin Enderle, 48, will succeed David Mosesso in the posts. Mosesso is now publisher of The Jonesboro Sun, which Paxton bought in September, and group publisher of Paxton papers in Arkansas.
Enderle had been publisher of North Carolina's Monroe Enquirer-Journal for the past three years.
Enderle and his wife, Jeanie, are natives of Cape Girardeau, Mo. He began his newspaper career in the circulation department of the Southeast Missourian at Cape Girardeau, where his father, Harry Enderle, who is now deceased, was a salesman.
Marvin Enderle's first full-time newspaper job started in 1979 when he became district circulation manager for the Gannett Co.'s Springfield NewsLeader in Missouri. Enderle went on to work at Gannett newspapers in Kansas and New York.
In 1987, he became general manager of the Norwich Evening Sun in New York, and two years later, he became general manager of the Rockingham Daily Journal in North Carolina.
He became publisher at Monroe in August 1997, about six months after Paxton purchased the newspaper there.
The Paxton group's Arkansas division also owns daily newspapers at Searcy and Paragould and several weeklies at Salem.
