The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) and Smithsonian Publications have released a special book capturing highlights of the recent PIANO 300 Exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution Smithsonian Institution, research and education center, at Washington, D.C.; founded 1846 under terms of the will of James Smithson of London, who in 1829 bequeathed his fortune to the United States to create an establishment for the "increase and diffusion of in Washington, D.C. PIANO 300 is filled with more than 250 photographs, many in full color, capturing this timely event celebrating the creation of the first piano, which drew more than 330,000 visitors from around the world. The book was written by Smithsonian curators Cynthia Adams Cynthia D. Adams (born March 23 1961) is a former city councilmember for the City of Aliso Viejo, California.
