New PEEK blends with PBI fiber.

New Victrex T-Series products from Victrex USA Inc., Greenville, S.C., are blends of PEEK PEEK - The command in most microcomputer BASICs for reading memory contents (a byte) at an absolute address. POKE is the corresponding command to write a value to an absolute address.

This is often extended to mean the corresponding constructs in any High Level Language.
and polybenzimidazole (PBI PBI protein-bound iodine.

) fibers for high-temperature applications requiring high strength, wear, hardness, and improved creep and heat resistance. Victrex has signed a licensing agreement with PBI Performance Products Inc., Charlotte, N.C., the maker of Celazole PBI.

The initial products, Victrex TU-60, TL-60, and TF-60V, expand the mechanical and tribological (wear-resistance) capabilities of Victrex PEEK. The blends are said to offer excellent mechanical performance at up to 300 C (572 F) and can replace metals and high-temperature thermosets thermosets, materials that can not be softened on heating. In thermosetting polymers, the polymer chains are joined (or cross-linked) by intermolecular bonding. Thermosets are usually supplied as partially polymerized or as monomer-polymer mixtures.  such as polyimide Pronounced "poly-ih-mid." A type of plastic (a synthetic polymeric resin) originally developed by DuPont that is very durable, easy to machine and can handle very high temperatures. Polyimide is also highly insulative and does not contaminate its surroundings (does not outgas). . Tel: (864) 672-7335 * PTDirect: 175UV
