, will conduct an independent, interactive educational event, "Treatments for Heartburn/GERD" on WebMD(TM), Wednesday, July 12, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.

During the 60-minute live webcast, Dr. Strapoli will answer questions about a new procedure to treat GERD with the Bard EndoCinch(TM) device. Though admission to the event is free, participants must first register to become a member of the WebMD Health Community. GERD is a chronic digestive condition in which stomach acid flows back up into the esophagus, causing severe heartburn.
