The unit also supports the most widely used wireless local area networking standards, including 11 Mbps Wi-Fi certified 802.11 High Rate and Open Air. Workers can get real-time inventory and order status from anywhere inside a warehouse or manufacturing facility, Quarders said. "Retail store workers will find the 700 especially well-suited for ending long checkout lines," Quarders said. "In conjunction with a wireless network, retail clerks can look up in-stock items and handle credit card sales all without a cash register." The 700 also includes support for Bluetooth wireless communications devices to eliminate cables and simplify connections with peripheral devices such as printers and cell phones.
