New First Stage Contract Award to EuroTelecom Communications Initiates Status of Preferred Supplier by Ministry of Defense in the United Kingdom.

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 1999--

EuroTelecom Communications' (OTC BB:EUTC) Defense Systems Division has been awarded an initial contract in excess of $1,300,000 by the Ministry of Defense, United Kingdom, to deliver Digital Image Processing Systems for the U.K. Armed Forces. EuroTelecom will provide 77 Units of equipment designated as TS-21A. The contract is part of an enabling agreement with the Defense Communications Services Agency (DCSA). This U.K. Agency of the Ministry of Defense is responsible for delivery of a Common Defense Wide Information infrastructure, which applies the benefits of emerging technology. EuroTelecom's contract award represents a multi-year effort to become a high-tech service and systems provider to the defense establishment. Additional contracts are pending on a wide range of systems and equipment orders from DCSA and the Ministry of Defense.
