New Executive Joins WireX to Expand Server Software Development.

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 2, 2000

WireX, a developer of purpose-specific server software, commonly known as server appliances, today announced Jagdish (Jag) Jagernauth will join WireX as Vice President of Engineering.

Mr. Jagernauth, Vice President of Engineering for WireX, is responsible for the development of present and future WireX technologies. "We are fortunate to attract someone of Jag's caliber to WireX," said Joonees Chay, CEO. "Jag brings over 20 years experience of developing software and hardware products for the computer systems industry. He offers WireX unique perspective from his experience with larger companies, and he brings a keen and critical strategic mind. All of these qualities are going to help steer the company for the growth ahead."

Jagernauth previously served as Senior Engineering Director at Preview Systems where his team of engineers developed the Ziplock Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) system. Other notable positions are with Synopsys Logic Modeling, Intel Corp., Computer Consoles, Inc., and Honeywell Corporation. While at Intel Corp. Jag played a key role in starting the PC Desktop and Server systems division which grew to 10% of Intel's total revenue within four years. This division continues to be a major revenue generator for Intel. He worked with major customers to specify and develop custom versions of the systems. Jag also managed Intel's Network Development System software group and their disk emulator See solid state disk.  software/firmware group. Jagernauth received his Master's of Engineering from Howard University, Magna Cum Laude, and MA in Computer Science from Arizona State University.
