New Documentary Illuminates History of Middle East Conflict over Land and Oil.


PITTSBURGH -- Inecom Entertainment Company announced today that production is underway on "Blood and Oil - The Middle East in World War I." The feature-length documentary produced by Marty Callaghan highlights World War I and its effect on the Middle East, shedding light on the turmoil that continues there today.

Planned for release in the fourth quarter 2006, the film follows conflict in the Middle East from the Ottoman Empire's entry into the Great War in October 1914 to the Allied victory and the declaration of the new Turkish Republic in 1923. "Blood and Oil" also covers the wars, coups, revolts and insurrections that have plagued the region since the end of World War I.
