New Compaq Deskpro PCs Deliver Greater Value with Significant Enhancements.

Compaq business PCs feature Pentium with MMX (MultiMedia EXtensions) A set of 57 additional instructions built into the Pentium MMX chip for improved multimedia and modem performance by performing mathematical operations on multiple sets of data at the same time (see SIMD). ; 6X PD-CD drive

Compaq Deskpro 2000

With Intelligent Manageability features across the full line, the affordable Deskpro 2000 Series incorporates powerful features and functionality at an exceptional value. The new Deskpro 2000 Model 6180/2500/CD, features a 180MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock.
