Everything an office needs to establish email on a Macintosh-hosted network is included with Claris OfficeMail -- Claris Emailer software for five users, server software, Internet email access via ClarisLink, and the quick setup of personalized email addresses for everyone in the office. Claris OfficeMail will grow with an organization to support up to 100 users, while delivering high performance.

Claris OfficeMail is designed specifically for small businesses and school administrative offices that want to share email and use the Internet to communicate with peers, customers and suppliers down the hall and around the world.

Low Cost, Quick Return On Investment

OfficeMail runs on any existing AppleTalk (ADSP) or TCP/IP network. No special networking is required. OfficeMail has low hardware and system requirements (68020 or higher, 4 MB RAM) and requires only one modem for an entire company. Claris OfficeMail is less expensive than traditional LAN/Internet email solutions.

Claris OfficeMail supports Internet-standard MIME, TCP/IP, SMTP, POP3, BinHex, UUencoding and Base 64 protocols. Because Claris OfficeMail has been developed using Internet standards, it will host both Macintosh and Windows Internet standard email clients.

Pricing and Availability

Claris OfficeMail begins shipping in June for an estimated retail price (ERP) of $299. The education estimated retail price (EERP) is $219. Claris Emailer 5-user packs designed as an affordable way to add users to Claris OfficeMail are $199 ERP, $149 EERP. Single-user copies of Claris Emailer are $49 ERP and EERP.

ClarisLink service pricing is $39.95 per month for ten hours of connect time. Additional hours of connect time beyond ten hours are $5.95 per hour. A $25 registration fee is required to establish service. The first month of ClarisLink service is free. Volume pricing is available for all Claris products.
