New Chairman for Ping An Health Insurance.

Wu, 51, joined Ping An in 1992, and was previously General Manager of Ping An Asset Management Limited. The China Insurance Regulatory Commission and Ping An Health Insurance's Board of Directors have approved his appointment. Mr. Wu's predecessor Zhang Zhentang will focus on his roles as Deputy Chief Actuary for the Ping An Group and Deputy General Manager of Ping An Life Insurance Company of China. Ping An will announce Mr. Wu's as General Manager of Ping An Asset Management in due course.

Established in 2005, Ping An Health Insurance provides managed health solutions as well as a complete range of health insurance services and products.

An economist by training, Mr. Wu, the new Chairman of Ping An Health Insurance has many years of experience in China's insurance industry. Trained at Japan's Foundation for the Advancement of Life Insurance in Asia, the UK's Royal College of Insurance, and the State University of New York (body) State University of New York - (SUNY) The public university system of New York State, USA, with campuses throughout the state. , he has made wide contributions to the firm during his career at Ping An.

He is widely credited with bringing leadership and an international perspective to Ping An's research and development, underwriting and claims management, customer service and policy renewals. During his term at Ping An Asset Management, Mr. Wu focused on upgrading the investment management platform; improving internal controls and risk management systems; setting up a professional management team; and imparting global best practices to the Group's operations. He has also participated in researches on policy issues and establishment of management systems conducted by the China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

Mr. Wu has held positions at Ping An including Assistant to the General Manager of Product Development at Ping An Life; Deputy General Manager of the Actuarial and Information Division, Deputy General Manager of Systems Management, and General Manager of Information Management of Ping An Group; Associate of Ping An Life; Deputy General Manager of Ping An Life and Officer of the Group Assets Administration Center.
