New Breastfeeding Medicine Journal Launched by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., Publishers.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Breastfeeding Medicine, a new peer-reviewed journal written by physicians for physicians was launched today by Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. (www.liebertpub.com). This new, interdisciplinary journal is the official publication of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. The premier issue is available free online at www.liebertpub.com/bfm.

Breastfeeding Medicine is the only medical publication that provides physicians with the evidence-based information they need to understand the complexities and benefits of breastfeeding, and to educate their staff and their patients on all aspects of breastfeeding to ensure optimal care for both mother and infant. The Journal publishes original scientific papers, reviews, and clinical case studies on a wide spectrum of topics in lactation medicine such as the physiologic and psychologic benefits of breastfeeding; health consequences of artificial feeding; breastfeeding indications and contraindications; maternal nutrition; managing breastfeeding pain and complications; optimal breastfeeding equipment; international public health issues; and much more.
