SAN FRANCISCO -- Blue Titan Software(R): The Services Networking Company(TM), today announced that MAXjet Airways, the industry's first all-business transatlantic airline to offer everyday low fares for true premium service, has selected Blue Titan Network Director 3.5 as the foundation for its service-oriented architecture (SOA)-based reservations system. The solution, implemented by Blue Titan partner MomentumSI, is designed to provide MAXjet's customers with the ability to view company information and handle all booking operations via the Web.

MAXjet is embracing a service-oriented approach to running its business and is focusing on service sharing as a way to control costs, increase business agility, and ultimately optimize customer reach. Given the breadth of its planned Web services use, MAXjet recognized that it needed to effectively manage its SOA environment in a way that would allow for future growth.

MAXjet's SOA-based reservations system is customer-facing and business-critical. This makes it essential that the SOA is architected to support large transaction volumes, guarantee high-availability, scale broadly and respond instantly to customers. MAXjet's SOA-based solution also integrates with multiple channels and partners, including a Web-based consumer reservations portal and numerous partner airlines.
