The new DSL service, currently sold as SBC (1) (SBC Communications Inc., San Antonio, TX, www.sbc.com) A large, national telecommunications company that grew from a multitude of local and regional companies, including Southwestern Bell, Pacific Bell and Nevada Bell, into a single, unified brand by 2002.  Yahoo! DSL Expert Plus(a), is a broadband service that up to doubles the bandwidth of previously available dynamic IP DSL offerings from the former SBC companies, with downstream speeds of up to 6 megabytes per second (unit) megabytes per second - (MBps, MB/s) Millions of bytes per second. The new high-speed service See broadband.  allows small and medium-sized businesses to take advantage of download speeds comparable to what is available to larger companies, at a fraction of the cost of dedicated services, helping them to compete effectively in the global marketplace. Expert Plus is part of a range of business DSL offerings from the new AT&T companies, which provide options to meet the broadband needs of nearly any small or mid-sized business.

All DSL Business Edition customers can now also take advantage of a range of customized service features designed to help small and mid-sized businesses to maximize productivity and efficiency. Recent DSL Business Edition service enhancements include:

--Firewall Protection. Built-in business-class firewall protection is a standard feature on DSL networking equipment purchased from AT&T.

--Service Level Agreements. Available DSL service level agreements that are unsurpassed in the industry, including 99.9 percent network availability, 40.0 milliseconds network latency See latency. , 99.9 percent data delivery and an installation interval guarantee.

--Priority Support. Business-specific, around-the-clock priority technical support.
