New AT&T Doubles DSL Speed with New Access Option for Small and Medium-Sized Business Customers; Enhanced AT&T DSL Offerings Include New 6-Megabit Service Package, New Customized Features for Smaller Businesses.

SAN ANTONIO -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced the availability of a range of new broadband service options and enhanced features for small and medium-sized companies, including a new ultrahigh-speed DSL service package.

The new DSL service, currently sold as SBC Yahoo! DSL Expert Plus(a), is a broadband service that up to doubles the bandwidth of previously available dynamic IP DSL offerings from the former SBC companies, with downstream speeds of up to 6 megabytes per second (Mbps) and upstream speeds of up to 608 Kbps. The new Expert Plus DSL package is available for qualifying business customers for an introductory rate of $49.99 a month. (Other monthly charges apply. See below for details.)

The new high-speed service allows small and medium-sized businesses to take advantage of download speeds comparable to what is available to larger companies, at a fraction of the cost of dedicated services, helping them to compete effectively in the global marketplace. Expert Plus is part of a range of business DSL offerings from the new AT&T companies, which provide options to meet the broadband needs of nearly any small or mid-sized business.

--Business Mail. A full-featured business e-mail solution that includes a domain name, a starter business Web page, and 10 custom e-mail addresses with 2GB of storage for each mailbox, with the option to add more addresses as needed (up to 2,000). --Savings on Wireless Data Solutions. With the purchase of the new DSL service and a Cingular Wireless data plan through the AT&T family of companies, customers will receive savings on wireless data options, including the BlackBerry 7100g, BlackBerry 7290, and Treo 650TM Smartphone.

--Firewall Protection. Built-in business-class firewall protection is a standard feature on DSL networking equipment purchased from AT&T.

--Service Level Agreements. Available DSL service level agreements that are unsurpassed in the industry, including 99.9 percent network availability, 40.0 milliseconds network latency, 99.9 percent data delivery and an installation interval guarantee.

--Priority Support. Business-specific, around-the-clock priority technical support.
