The new Ka-Band antenna has a uniquely formed dual-reflector Gregorian optics system coupled with close-tolerance manufacturing techniques for accurate surface contour, high gain, efficiency, and closely controlled pattern characteristics. A newly designed rain deviator ensures that the feed window remains dry, even in high wind conditions. The rugged low backlash mount construction provides 125 mph (200 km/hr) wind survival and accounts for low values of beam radial pointing errors during tracking modes.

For extended product life, the antenna's ground mount assembly is manufactured from hot-dipped galvanized steel. Stainless steel hardware provides maximum resistance against corrosion.
