Templeton, Jr. It is usually referred to simply as the Templeton Foundation. has awarded AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) An audio compression technology that is part of the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standards. AAC, especially MPEG-4 AAC, provides greater compression and better sound quality than MP3, which also came out of the MPEG standard. & U a $2 million grant to support Core Commitments: Fostering Personal and Social Responsibility on College and University Campuses, a new national initiative designed to help colleges and universities more purposefully pur·pose·ful adj. 1. Building on AAC & U's Greater Expectations initiative, Core Commitments will be focused on several major dimensions of personal and social responsibility as well as on those aspects of campus culture that positively or negatively affect their development. The initial phase of Core Commitments will entail entail, in law, restriction of inheritance to a limited class of descendants for at least several generations. The object of entail is to preserve large estates in land from the disintegration that is caused by equal inheritance by all the heirs and by the ordinary the development and testing of an assessment template that examines attitudes toward the dimensions of personal and social responsibility. A call for participation will be issued in fall 2006. |
