Nevsun Resources - Gold Grades and Widths Increase at Depth, Tabakoto Project, Mali.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 1996-- Nevsun Resources Ltd. (TSE NSU.) announces assay results from a further six diamond drill holes from the Company's 90 percent owned Tabakoto Project in Western Mali.

These results show that gold grades and intercept widths are increasing at depth. This confirms the continuity of the Tabakoto deposit at depth and indicates that both the grade and width of the deposit may be more substantial than first anticipated, particularly in the central portion of the main N-S zone. -0-

^ Assay results have not yet been received for drill hole No. T-85. Assay results from drill hole No. T-91 are not yet complete, with three additional visible gold intercepts in the lab for assaying. ^ The Company is currently negotiating to mobilize a Longyear 44 drill rig onto the Tabakoto Project by January 1997. The Longyear 44 will be used to drill test the Tabakoto gold deposit to depths exceeding 600 meters. Upon the arrival of the Longyear 44, two diamond drill rigs will be in operation at Tabakoto.
