RF Industries' (Nasdaq:RFIL) wholly-owned Neulink Division announced four new products at this week's International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE IWCE International Workshop on Computational Electronics ) in Las Vegas.

Separately, the company announced it has retained the services of ROS Enterprises to provide technology consulting, review and analysis for potential acquisitions.

Neulink Wednesday introduced the "FireLine", its fastest ever wireless data communications modem, a narrow-band high-speed Digital Signal Processor A digital signal processor (DSP) is a specialized microprocessor designed specifically for digital signal processing, generally in real-time computing. "We believe this is the fastest narrow-band radio on the market. Operating in both UHF (Ultra High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 300 MHz to 3 GHz. In the U.S., analog television has used UHF channels 52 to 69 in the 700 MHz band.  and VHF (Very High Frequency) The range of electromagnetic frequencies from 30 MHz to 300 MHz.  bands, it features FCC (1) (Federal Communications Commission, Washington, DC, www.fcc.gov) The U.S. government agency that regulates interstate and international communications including wire, cable, radio, TV and satellite. The FCC was created under the U.S.  refarm-compliant selectable transmission rates of 25Kbps at 25 KHz channel spacing and 12.5 Kbps at 12.5 KHz channel spacing," said Arthur Ekroos, president of RFI's Neulink Division.

Ekroos explained that FireLine is designed to meet the worldwide communications requirements of the 21st century and added: "As governmental authorities continue to shrink the available bandwidth, high-speed throughput becomes more difficult to achieve. FireLine uses multiple modulation schemes and IF filters in one small compact package to support high-speed data transmission across narrow bandwidths."

FireLine will commence shipping this summer.

Neulink also introduced the PagePro synthesized digital paging system. "With this product, anyone with a personal computer can send numeric, alphanumeric and tone pages with the click of a mouse. Designed for the wide-area paging market, the PagePro can also be used for in-house and local-area paging requirements."

"With a paging radius up to one mile, PagePro is ideally suited to commercial and campus sites, including restaurants, sporting events, hospital and educational campuses. We believe the PagePro's simple computer interface, programmability, and wide-frequency range capabilities provide an elegant low-cost solution to wide-area paging requirements," said Ekroos.

"Neulink also announced a new fully synthesized Skyline system, available in both UHF and VHF formats. Skyline makes wireless remote control and data acquisition reliable and simple. Connecting through a standard RS232 serial port, Skyline enables the host computer to address, control and report on the status of up to 65,000 remote radio platforms and their attached I/O devices.

"Features include a 16 bit CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Checking) An error checking technique used to ensure the accuracy of transmitting digital data. The transmitted messages are divided into predetermined lengths which, used as dividends, are divided by a fixed divisor. , error detection and correction (algorithm, storage) error detection and correction - (EDAC, or "error checking and correction", ECC) A collection of methods to detect errors in transmitted or stored data and to correct them. This is done in many ways, all of them involving some form of coding. , XON/XOFF, flow control and repeater capabilities," he said.

Howard Hill, president of RF Industries, said: "We are very excited about the potential for these new products. RF Industries is dedicated to the wireless and radio frequency markets and is actively looking for Looking for

"To help guide our company's acquisition strategy, we have retained ROS Enterprises to provide consulting services and analysis of potential products, partners and acquisitions."

Hill commented that ROS Enterprises' principal is Rodney O. Shepard, age 62, a 30-year veteran of Teledyne Industries, who has been instrumental

Hill noted that, in addition to the PagePtrolled, intelligent 2 watt UHF or VHF synthesized modem.
