Networking & education at 2007 NAMA Boot Camp.

Agri-marketing professionals from every segment of the industry joined with colleagues in Kansas City, Mo. on August 21-23 for the 2007 NAMA Boot Camp. From seasoned veterans to young professionals just entering the industry, the conference offered everyone a chance to learn about new trends, make new contacts and speak face-to-face with growers and producers.

Attendees were impressed by the wealth of educational opportunities to be found at Boot Camp, as well as the beneficial networking and overall friendly, accessible atmosphere of the conference.

"There was a genuine exchange among the attendees at Boot Camp and that was the best part," says Monica Tiffany of Merrigan & Co. in Kansas City, Mo. "The breakout sessions dealt with very of-the-moment information and I felt like I learned a lot. Managers and team leaders would be doing themselves a service to send their entire staff to Boot Camp."

Others appreciated Boot Camp as an invaluable introduction to the world of agri-marketing and agriculture itself.

"Since I'm new to the industry, I think the conference was a good way for me to be exposed to numerous topics of interest across the entire industry, not just one small part," shared Laurie Whittington of McCormick Company in Kansas City, Mo. "It was also a great way to network with other people involved in all aspects of agriculture and really learn from them. I would recommend Boot Camp for many of those same reasons."
