MENLO PARK, Calif--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 1995--Network General Corporation (NASDAQ:NETG), a leading network fault and performance management solutions provider, today announced a purchasing agreement with Cogent Data Technologies, Inc., a developer of high-performance Ethernet products, to deliver network interface cards for 100 MB/s Fast Ethernet networks. 100 MB/s Fast Ethernet is rapidly being deployed throughout workgroup and network backbone environments. It is important that network managers have access to fault and performance management tools that can provide total visibility into high-performance technologies like 100 MB/s Fast Ethernet. Network General and Cogent will extend network management capabilities by bringing together the experience of Network General Sniffer(R) technology with Cogent's Ethernet hardware and software expertise.
