Network Enhancements Give Wireless Customers in Indiana County, Pennsylvania Something to Talk About.


Verizon Wireless Cellco Partnership, doing business as Verizon Wireless, owns and operates the second largest wireless telecommunications network in the United States, based on total wireless customers.  Activates New Cell Site in Indiana, Pennsylvania Indiana is a borough in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, part of the Pittsburgh DMA. The population was 14,895 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Indiana County.  

INDIANA, Pa. -- Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in Indiana, increasing network coverage and capacity in the town and portions of Indiana County.

The network enhancement enables more Verizon Wireless customers to use their wireless phones to make calls, send and receive email and text, picture and video messages, and download games and ringtones.

The new cell site improves network coverage along State Route 286 between the towns of Indiana and Clarksburg and from Jacksonville south to Blairsville along State Route 217.

Reliable service is fundamental to customer loyalty, and Verizon Wireless boasts the highest customer loyalty in the industry. During the second quarter of 2006, only 1.1 percent of its customers disconnected their service, which is well below the industry average.

This recent enhancement in Indiana is part of Verizon Wireless' continuous effort to increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Pennsylvania and across the country.
