Network Computing Devices, Inc. (OTC:NCDI.OB), a leading provider of thin client information access and management products, today announced NCD ThinPATH PC(TM), the newest software product in NCD's Thinfrastructure(TM) portfolio. This innovative software is designed to manage PCs as thin clients, thereby reducing the total cost of owning and maintaining PC-desktops.

The server-based computing model has seen unprecedented growth over the last six years, with many companies deploying Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix Metaframe within their network environments. However, most companies deploying server-based computing do so using their existing PCs even though a Windows-based terminal offers the same functionality at less cost. In introducing its ThinPATH PC software, NCD sees its market as those customers deploying server-based computing products who are not yet in a position to introduce Windows-based terminals, but who would like to achieve similar benefits from their existing installed base of PCs.

Pricing and Availability

NCD ThinPATH PC will be priced at $119. per desktop license. NCD also offers a new Subscription Plus program that allows customers to automatically receive software updates and technical support for an annual fee. NCD has launched a beta of NCD ThinPATH PC to existing customers, and the software will be available to the public in April through NCD Resellers.
