According to market research firm IDC, overall web penetration by small businesses will grow from 33 percent in 2000 to 70 percent by 2003, and small businesses with Web sites will more than double to reach 4.5 million in 2003. Much of the growth in the overall small business market is with businesses with less than five employees.
