Network Cancer Care Orders Oncology Systems Online From Siemens.

The Oncology Care Systems Group of Siemens Medical Systems today announced that Network Cancer Care, Denton, Texas became the first Siemens customer to purchase oncology equipment through an online transaction using the new SiemensMedical.com website.

Network Cancer Care is a valuable clinical collaborator with Siemens products in both Denton and Plano, Texas, bringing state of the art radiation therapy equipment to their patients. Drs. Roger Good and Odette Campbell, managing partners of Network Cancer Care first viewed Siemens' new e.Health approach in the Siemens booth at the October American Society for Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Boston. After answering a few questions, using the simple Configuration Tool, a complete medical equipment package was designed to meet the personal requirements of the facility. The documentation was then emailed directly to the customer for review and detailed discussions with sales representatives.

Mr. Subhi Khireiwish submitted the order on behalf of Dr.'s Good and Campbell for Network Cancer Care's third site in Las Colinas, Texas at the meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago on November 26, 2000 becoming the first on-line purchaser of a PRIMUS(R) Linear Accelerator, a LANTIS(R) Oncology Management System and a SOMATOM(TM) CT System.
