According to the company, the new product is used for performance management for applications in wide area networks where Virtual Private Network (VPN) services are in use to optimise security and performance. NetScout has also said that the VPN Site Monitoring and Reporting are available in nGenius Performance Manager 2.0.1 and nGenius Probe Firmware CDM 2.1 without additional cost.
