Netscape and Powered, Inc. Collaborate to Launch New Online Education Service.

Netscape, a subsidiary of AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  Inc., and Powered Inc.(TM), a leading provider of interactive marketing solutions, today announced a collaboration to create the Netscape Learning Center, a new online resource for consumers to learn about topics of interest to them. The program, available on Netscape.com and other AOL Web brands including CompuServe, will offer for-pay courses on a variety of subjects.

For a nominal fee, consumers can enroll in in-depth, instructor-led virtual courses on a variety of topics of interest to them. Course subjects will complement the content available to consumers at Netscape.com, providing them with a deeper understanding of topics such as Money & Business, Relationships and Entertainment. In addition, the Netscape Learning Center will also offer advice on merchandise related to those courses. For example, one of the initial courses, Great Home Videos: Shoot and Edit like a Pro, will not only educate consumers on taking memorable home videos, but also better equip e·quip

Netscape Learning Center courses are a great value, with prices ranging from $9.99 to $14.99. Registering for courses is easy - visitors simply click on the Learning Center tab on the left side of the Netscape.com main page (http://learningcenter.netscape.com), select from the list of topics, and select the courses of greatest interest to them. Once they have filled their online shopping cart with their desired courses, visitors will be instructed to proceed to the online checkout and pay for their courses via the Netscape Learning Center's secure servers.
