Netgateway Names Three to Board of Directors.

LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 1999

Netgateway, Inc. (NASDAQ: NGWY), an eCommerce applications services provider, today announced the election of three new external Directors to its board: John Dillon, James Demetriades and William Brock.

John Dillon joined Salesforce.com as President and Chief Executive Officer in September 1999. Previously Mr. Dillon was interim President and C.E.O. for Perfecto Technologies, a start-up company delivering products for insuring Internet application security. He served as President and C.E.O. for Hyperion Solutions, the global company formed through the merger of Arbor Software and Hyperion Software. Hyperion is the leading vendor of enterprise software for business reporting, analysis, and planning. Mr. Dillon also spent five years with Arbor Software as Vice President of Sales and then as President and CEO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dillon was employed at Oracle Corporation in various sales management capacities, GRiD Systems and at EDS as a Systems Engineer.

Mr. Demetriades is the founder of Software Technologies Corporation (STC). STC provides enterprise-wide middleware technology solutions for integrating applications, databases, and legacy systems, in real-time and batch. He has served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of STC since 1991.

Mr. Brock is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Marketplace Technologies, Inc., a corporate finance electronic commerce company. He has served as vice president and head of the Structured Note Group in the Fixed Income Division of Salomon Smith Barney and as Managing Director of Blizzard Capital markets, a leveraged buyout company. Mr. Brock served as Vice President and Co-head of medium Term Notes at Goldman, Sachs and Company. He also was Vice President, Short Term Debt at The First Boston Corporation. Since April 1996, Mr. Brock has been a Director of Middleton's, a mill working company.

The Netgateway Board of Directors comprises the following members:

Keith D. Freadhoff, Chairman of the Board. Mr. Freadhoff has served as Chairman of the Board since the inception of Netgateway and served as Chief Executive Officer of Netgateway from inception through September 1999. Before forming Netgateway, Mr. Freadhoff was the co-founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and C.E.O of Prosoft I-Net Solutions, a public company engaged in development and provision of software and Internet training solutions.

Roy W. Camblin III, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Camblin has a broad, international background in operations, technology and general management. He served as executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer, Executive Committee Member at CB Richard Ellis, a global real-estate company in more than 220 major markets in over 40 countries. Prior to that, he was Global Operations and Technology Head for Citibank's Investment and Insurance Products Division, where he worked to consolidate the operations and technologies of Citibank's numerous stock brokerage, asset management, insurance and mutual fund companies in more than 100 countries. Previous positions include Senior VP, Global Chief Information Officer, Management Committee Member at Oracle Systems Corporation; and Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank, responsible for operation and technologies of the Wholesale Bank, and technologies of the Credit Card Division. Mr. Camblin also spent five and a half years at Charles Schwab & Company as Director of Data Center and Network Operations, and Manager of Systems Engineering.

Donald M. Corliss, Jr., was a co-founder of Netgateway and has served as the President and a Director since the inception of the business in January 1998. Mr. Corliss is in charge of the company's merger and acquisition activities and capital formation. Mr. Corliss held senior management positions in numerous private companies, many of which he co-founded, and has served as an advisor or consultant to many other companies. A member of the California bar, Mr. Corliss practiced law for a number of years in a business and tax practice, before transitioning out of law and into business.

David Bassett-Parkins has served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and a Director of Netgateway since the company's inception. Mr. Bassett-Parkins has held various senior management positions at Wedbush Morgan Securities, including Vice President of Management Information Systems, Vice President of Customer Services, and Vice President of Client Banking Services. Mr. Bassett-Parkins has also served as a Director of Automation for ISD, a privately held Interior Architecture firm based in Chicago.

Scott Beebe has served as a Director of Netgateway since June 1998. Mr. Beebe served as the managing partner of Steps, an investment and consulting firm specializing in high-tech growth companies. Mr. Beebe was a registered representative in the securities industry from 1982 through 1998.

Ronald Spire has served as a Director of Netgateway from September 1998 to December 1998 and since April 1999. Mr. Spire was the co-founder and an executive of PCI Group, Inc., a subcontractor of aerospace manufacturers. He also was a partner with Wolfgang Puck in Chinois on Main, Inc. and other restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Mr. Spire currently is Chief Executive Officer of Action Call, a help-desk provider for desktop software.
