Based on a highly scalable and reliable IP infrastructure, NetVoice has engineered its architecture to deliver converged communications services utilizing a privately managed "next generation" communications network. The Company's communications network is designed to carry simultaneous toll-quality voice (known as Voice over Internet Protocol or VoIP), data and video transmissions using packet-switching technology.

It is very efficient, but not used for critical data. , 3640 gateways and 5300 servers. Cisco Powered Network designated service providers are committed to maintaining the highest levels of network quality by building their services with Cisco solutions. Through this alliance Cisco will also provide NetVoice with business consulting, technology training and support. NetVoice also participates in the Cisco Powered Network Program, a joint marketing program between Cisco and network service providers.
