NetScout's network engineering, operations and IT management users from enterprises, service providers and, government agencies converged at the 2006 conference to gain insight from their peers and NetScout's top engineering talent. During the conference, user forum members from around the world shared best practices and met with NetScout executives and engineers to discuss the most pressing trends impacting the performance of their business-critical applications and networks.

The theme of the conference, "Conquering the Chaos: Real Performance in a Virtual World," centered on the complex challenges which the many existing and emerging forms of virtualization An umbrella term for enhancing a computer's ability to do work. Following are the ways virtualization is used.
