During school hours, students connect to the school's server through a wireless network. At home, the students dial into the server through the StudyPro's built-in modem.

Teachers are also benefiting from improvements to NetSchools' new technology upgrades. The upgrades to EduLAN 1.5 will serve to give them greater control within their classroom as it is equipped with "desktop-monitoring," which allows every teacher to control every student's StudyPro in his or her room with the click of a button. In addition, teachers who have been using NetSchools' proprietary software, Academic Information System (AIS), now have access to it via the Internet at NetSchools.com. At NetSchools.com they are not only provided with tools for calendaring, e-mail, lesson planning and a specific school design but also access to an Internet-based database where they can search and browse (1) To view the contents of a file or a group of files.
