The WanTel module integrates with the rest of the WiseWan product family to offer end-to-end Quality-of-Service for integrated voice and data traffic. By delivering traffic monitoring, prioritization, adaptive bandwidth allocation and accounting for voice and data traffic over both IP and Frame Relay, WanTel gives users the control they need to finally take advantage of the full benefits of convergence.

WanTel and WiseWan: Making Convergence Practical

Organizations have expressed increasing interest in voice and data integration since convergence technology promises to dramatically reduce communications costs and streamline operations. Similarly, convergence has promised service providers new revenue streams and business opportunities. However, voice integration has not been practical since traditional packet-switching networks lack enhanced management options and "creature comforts" -- control, monitoring, reporting and billing capabilities -- organizations have come to expect.
