NetCarta Announces the Availability of NetCarta WebMapper(TM); The First Professional Web-Site Content Management Solution for Windows NT and 95.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 30, 1996--NetCarta Corporation, a CMGI company (NASDAQ:CMGI), is positioning itself as a leading vendor of large-scale Web-site content management and navigation solutions with the availability of NetCarta WebMapper, the first professional Web site management application available for Windows 95 and Windows NT.

This announcement is one of two NetCarta made at the Spring Internet World '96 Exhibition.

NetCarta WebMapper is a professional application that allows webmasters and site developers to manage Web sites throughout the enterprise, both on the Internet and in the Intranet. NetCarta WebMapper allows webmasters to visualize the structure of a Web site, manage links, track changes, generate reports showing how a site is connected to the Web at large, and publish a NetCarta WebMap(TM) to help Web users navigate efficiently.

NetCarta WebMapper is part of a client/server product set that provides a complete Web-content management and accelerated navigation solution to implementers of Web environments. NetCarta WebMapper is a professional Web-site content management solution tool for Web servers, while CyberPilot Pro provides the accelerated navigation solution on the client side.

For example, NetCarta is currently developing a radical new visualization technology -- called the Cyberbolic(TM) interface -- that it will add into both NetCarta WebMapper and CyberPilot Pro. The Cyberbolic view displays objects using the metaphor of a transparent globe, has the capability to visualize thousands of objects simultaneously, and is unique to NetCarta.
