Managed hosting provider NetBenefit, part of Group NBT (NetBIOS over TCP/IP) Support for the NetBIOS protocol in Windows when running in a TCP/IP network. NBT supports legacy applications that use the NetBIOS protocol as well as NetBIOS name resolution, which converts NetBIOS names into IP addresses.  plc (LSE LSE - Language Sensitive Editor :NBT.), has announced it has partnered with i365, a Seagate company (Nasdaq:STX) and a provider of secure on-line backup and recovery SaaS, to create a fast and secure managed backup service to complement its managed hosting service.

According to the company, the new service, based upon i365's EVault Data Protection technology, speeds up backup operations by backing up only new or changed data files. This results in a reduction in the time taken to complete each backup and helps to reduce the amount of storage required. Data checking is conducted at multiple points in the process at block and file level to ensure the backed up data reflects the data available for restore at any given time.

EVault SaaS backup and recovery backs up data securely off-site and can be recovered at any time, usually taking only a few minutes for a full restore. A browser-based control panel allows the customer to view backup schedules, read backup reports, perform on-demand backups and run restores of files or directory sets.

No financial details were disclosed.
