A standardization of the real-time media networking technology DTM DTM

The standardization is an on-going process, and in the future additional parts of the standard are expected to be completed; the specification of DTM core signaling, Ethernet transport and physical interfaces of DTM over SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) The European counterpart to SONET. The DTM standard is scheduled to be published on the 23rd of March, and is identified as ES 201 803-1.

The standardization process was initiated by Net Insight in the winter of 1998/99. Among the supporting members in the ETSI vote are Telia, Telenor, Telekom Austria Telekom Austria is a provider of a range of fixed line, mobile, data, and Internet communications services.

In addition to its operations in Austria, Telekom Austria also has a wireline segment represented in the Czech Republic with Czech On Line, a leading Internet service
, BAE Systems, Allied Telesyn, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Telefonica and British Telecom.
